Japan America Society of Southern California

   Building Japan-America Relationships Since 1909

Volunteer Opportunities

As a non-profit membership organization which has been building Japan-America relations since 1909, the Japan America Society of Southern California is not only supported by our members and the community, but also by our Volunteers, who are crucial to help ensure the success of our  programs and special events.

Through the generous gift of their time and skills of our pool of Volunteers, working as a team, help the Society serve its members and the general public by assisting with the smooth implementation of our most important annual events, including:
  • Annual Fundraising Events: Anniversary Dinner & Gala and Japan America Golf Classic
  • Educational Programs:  Hitachi Japanese Kite Workshops, Japan Bowl of California®, programs with distinguished Japanese and American speakers and leaders
  • Volunteer and internship opportunities are also available at the Society’s office

If you are interested in meeting new people that have an interest in the U.S.-Japan relationship, and if you are interested in contributing your time and service as a volunteer or an intern, please contact Gifford Saneto, Office Manager, at 310-965-9050, extension 103 or by email at info@jas-socal.org.
