Storrier Stearns Japanese Garden - Reception and Entertainment

Friday, September 6, 2019

6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

$100 per person (includes valet parking)

The Storrier Stearns Japanese Garden, in partnership with The Japan Foundation, Los Angeles, will host a special event at the garden to welcome three geisha from Kyoto. It will be a rare opportunity to interact with real geisha and experience a tradition that has endured through centuries, evolving and remaining one of the most iconic cultural treasures of Japan.

Guests may enjoy the beauty and artistry of Japan's most famous and historical entertainers as the geisha give two performances of traditional music and dance in the Niko-an Teahouse wearing kimono costumes and oshiroi makeup.

This event is part of The Japan Foundation's 2019 West Coast Tour, Real Geisha, Real Women.  Proceeds will go to support the garden, its community outreach, and cultural and educational mission.
