The 2014 ANNUAL 3.11 MEMORIAL BENEFIT GOLF TOURNAMENT is dedicated to raising funds to support youth sports programs in Iwate prefecture. With most sports facilities destroyed by the earthquake and tsunami, and sports fields being used for temporary housing, the goal of the fundraiser is to provide positive opportunities for physical activities, growth and development of the region’s youth. More than 200 people participated in the inaugural benefit tournament last year. Participants came from Los Angeles, Tokyo, Nagoya, Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima, Fukuoka and from local communities in Tohoku region. Golf pro and legend, Masahiro “Massy” Kuramoto was a celebrity participant and he will be participating once again this year.

The following day, a tour of the devastated areas of Ofunato, Rikuzentakata and Kesennuma, cities whose youth will benefit by your participation, will be offered.
