HELP Save A Life
Individuals of multi-ethnic descent (Asian, Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latino, African American, Mixed Race) are desperately needed to register as potential marrow/stem cell donors.
Ethnicity is crucial when matching patients with marrow donors. Due to the severe shortage of ethnic minorities on the National Registry, ethnic and diverse patients with leukemia or lymphoma are less likely to find a matching donor.
You could be the one to save a life by registering as a potential marrow/stem cell donor.
Some good things to know:
Registering means that you are joining a national database of potential donors for any patient in need.
If you are selected as a match, you will contacted for further testing, which includes a blood sample.
You will then be asked to donate your blood stem cells either from your blood or your marrow.
Click on "Help Save A Life" below to download a flyer about Nick Glasgow, a patient who needs a match today.
