12th Annual Evening of Aloha Gala Dinner will be held Saturday, October 12, 2013 at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites in Los Angeles. Featuring the delicious cuisines of Roy Yamaguchi (Roy's Restaurants) and Akira Hirose (Maison Akira).

To enter submit a 250 to 500 word essay on one of three topics:

Describe a Nisei soldier story or experience, and explain why it is meaningful to you.
Explain how the Nisei soldier experience is relevant to today’s generation.
Present an innovative way of teaching the Nisei soldier story to today’s youth (elementary through college, any or all levels).

Submit essay via email by Thursday, September 12, 2013 to community@goforbroke.org.

NOTIFICATION: Winners will be notified by email on September 25, 2013.

The winning essays will be presented at the Go For Broke's Gala Dinner and posted on the Go For Broke National Education Center website: www.goforbroke.org
