Nanka Dosanko-kai (formerly known as Hokkaiko-jin kai) will be celebrating its 40th Anniversary this summer at the Crowne Plaza Redondo Beach & Marina Hotel. Thirty famous "Hiragishi Tenjin's" Yosakoi Soran Dancers from Sapporo will join the event and perform "Yosakoi Soran" dance at the luncheon. Also, they will participate at the Nisei Week Parade on Sunday, August 12th in the evening, as the finale performers.

The Yosakoi Soran Festival is a melding of the historical Yosakoi Festival of Kochi, in Central Japan, with Hokkaido‘s unique but traditional Soran Bushi fishing folksongs. The upbeat tempo, the dancers’ enthusiasm, the crowds and the colors, and the driving music all conspire to make you feel like joining in.
